羅運炎 字耀東。年二十七歲。生於江西九江。已婚。初畢業於九江南偉烈大學。（即同文書院。）歷任九江民立第一學校。公立文化高等小學。官立德化高等小學敎員。宣統元年。自費遊美。後得官費。入比利亞學校。習普通文科。宣統三年。得學士學位。入薛雷克斯大學。習經濟及政治學。民國元年。得碩士學位。民國三年。著孔門社會學說一書。得博士學位。入米西根大學。得演說第一名奬。爲高特會會長。暑假時。曾環遊美國北方各省。到處演講。民國三年回國。任九江南偉烈大學敎員兼學監。通信處。九江南偉烈大學。
Lo, Ren-Yen.-Born in Kiukiang, 1890. Married, 1916. Studied at William Nast College, Kiukiang, 1901-7. Graduated, 1907. Teacher: Kiukiang First School and Wen-Hua School, Kiukiang, 1906-7; The-Hua School, Kiukiang, 1907-9. Arrived in America, September, 1909. Partial government support. Studied Liberal Arts at Berea College, Ohio, 1909-11; Economics and Political Science at Syracuse University, 1911-14; Law at the University of Michigan, 1914. A.B., 1911; A.M., 1912; Ph.D., 1914. Subject of doctor's dissertation:-"The Social Teaching of Confucius." Awarded first prize for oratory, June, 1911. President, Goethe Society, 1910-11. Made a lecture tour to the Northern States of America during summer vacations. Returned to China, September, 1914. Teacher and Proctor, William Nast College, Kiukiang, 1914 to date.
